August has been an exciting month at Definition Automation, with a variety of TV lifts installed across South Africa. From ceiling TV lifts to foot-of-the-bed lifts and bespoke cabinet TV lifts, each project demonstrates our commitment to precision engineering and thoughtful design integration.
Hidden in the Ceiling
A couple of ceiling units were delivered to clients in Johannesburg, providing a seamless, hidden solution that combines practicality with style. These lifts are perfect for those who want a TV that stays out of sight until needed.
No-Rise Rotate Lift
A particularly clever solution was our no-rise rotate lift, mounted within a wall to rotate seamlessly between two bedrooms. This maximises functionality while keeping the TV discreet.
At the Foot of the Bed
Several foot-of-the-bed units were fitted for clients in Cape Town. Ideal for smaller bedrooms, these units keep spaces uncluttered while providing convenient access to entertainment.
Cabinets With a Secret
A number of cabinet TV lifts, including pushlid and fixed lid options, were installed across South Africa this month. Each unit rises smoothly from bespoke furniture pieces, offering tailored storage solutions while maintaining a clean, streamlined look in living spaces.
The Disappearing Appliance Panel
A unique kitchen appliance lift was installed in Paarl, designed to conceal everyday appliances such as coffee machines behind a moving panel. This discreet mechanism allows the panel to rise and lower smoothly, keeping the kitchen area streamlined and uncluttered while ensuring easy access to appliances when required.
Rising from the Floor
One of the most striking installations this month was an in-floor 75″ TV lift, where the television rises directly from the floor. This dramatic solution creates a modern, innovative entertainment feature that’s both functional and a real party trick.
Ottomans with a Twist
A couple of ottoman TV lifts were delivered, one in Johannesburg and one in Cape Town. These stylish units double as comfortable seating while concealing a TV lift inside, combining practicality with elegance.
Under-Bed Brilliance
An under-bed TV lift was fitted for a client in Cape Town, offering a smart way to optimise space while providing hidden entertainment at the touch of a button.
Lectern Repairs and Maintenance
We also completed repairs and annual maintenance for lectern units at UCT, ensuring these units continue to operate smoothly for educational use.
