September was a dynamic month at Definition Automation, filled with innovative projects that highlighted how hidden TV lifts can redefine modern interiors. From compact bedrooms to spacious living areas and lecture halls, our tailored solutions proved that entertainment systems don’t need to compromise design.
Foot of the Bed Hidden TV Lifts
Our team fitted five Foot of the Bed Units, each customised with fabrics chosen by clients to complement their bedroom décor. Many selected premium materials from Hertex, ensuring the lifts blended seamlessly into their existing interiors. Because these units remain out of sight until needed, they continue to be a popular option for smaller bedrooms with minimal space. As a result, homeowners gain access to entertainment without sacrificing floor area or cluttering the room. Explore more about our Foot of the Bed TV Lifts.

Ceiling Vertical Scroll Lifts
We installed five Ceiling Vertical Scroll Lifts for clients who wanted a dramatic yet space-saving approach. These automated systems allow a television to lower smoothly from the ceiling, making them ideal for open-plan living spaces or homes with wide window views. Furthermore, once the TV retracts, the unit disappears completely, keeping interiors clean and architectural lines uninterrupted.
Ottoman TV Lifts
Two Ottoman TV Lifts were delivered this month — versatile pieces that double as comfortable furniture and hidden entertainment systems. Clients appreciated the practicality of combining seating with technology, especially in living areas where multifunctional design matters most.

Ceiling Flap-Out TV Lifts
Our engineers completed two Ceiling Flap-Out Lifts, one designed for a 75” TV and the other for a 55”. These clever mechanisms conceal the screen entirely within the ceiling until activated, then open smoothly to reveal the television. This solution is especially effective in rooms where wall space is limited or where a clean, minimalist style is preferred.

Under-Bed Lift
One Under-Bed TV Lift was fitted for a Cape Town client, providing a smart solution for a bedroom where every bit of space counts. With the television hidden beneath the bed frame, the unit slides out and rises at the touch of a button — offering entertainment without disrupting the room’s layout.
Cabinet TV Lifts
Finally, two bespoke Cabinet TV Lifts were completed. Each was designed to rise smoothly from custom furniture, keeping entertainment systems neatly tucked away when not in use. These lifts demonstrate how functionality and craftsmanship can work hand-in-hand, allowing clients to maintain clean interiors without losing modern conveniences.

University Projector Brackets
A significant delivery this month included 31 projector brackets supplied to a major South African university. By providing robust, reliable mounting solutions, we supported lecture halls in maintaining smooth and professional presentations. In addition, this project reflected our continued focus on the education sector, where our products are used daily.
Final Thoughts
September showcased the versatility of hidden TV lifts — from bespoke bedroom furniture to large-scale educational installations. Each project highlighted how automation and design can merge seamlessly, giving clients practical, discreet, and stylish solutions for their spaces.
